August 7 & 8 BILL'S WINE CHEMISTRY 101 $40 7 ~ 10 pm RSVP
Our chemistry class is a two night course and we should finish up by 10 each night. The course covers how to determine and adjust pH, Titratable Acid (TA) levels, sugar and sulfites. Bill teaches on a layman's level and makes it understandable, not intimidating. His personal notebook is included for you to follow along and add your own notes. Light refreshments will be available
Tuesday MIST KIT WINE CLASS $30 (done for the summer) 7 ~ 10 pm RSVP
Bill takes you through the process of making a wine kit ~ all phases in one night. He will start a kit, then using on previously made kit, Bill will demonstrate the racking process to transfer the wine into the secondary phase. As the class draws to an end, each of you will fill, cork & label a bottle of wine to take home with you. Doors open at 6:30 with sangria & pasta; class begins at 7
Tuesday BEER 101 $30 (done for the summer) 7 ~ 10 pm RSVP
Brenden takes you through the process of an extract beer kit while brewing a batch for our Tasting Room. Understand the chemistry, become familiar with the variety of grains, hops & yeast, learn how the equipment is used, and bottle one to take home. Doors open at 6:30 with pizza & beers to taste, class begins at 7
Sunday, June 25 our friends at TUNED UP BREWERY in Spring City are brewing up a storm! Drop off your pail at Weak Knee by June 22; Brenden will take them to Tuned Up and sanitize each one before filling with the fresh wort for you to pick up at Tuned Up on Sunday, June 25th; then take home to finish however you choose, returning at a date TBD with a 6 pack of your brew for a "People's Choice" competition and good time!
